We’re growing our nursing leadership team atPenn Vet’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital — seeking aNursing Supervisor to guide our exceptional team of Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospital environment.
Whether your passion lies incritical care orinpatient medicine, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a CVT who thrives on teamwork, teaching, and clinical excellence.
As a Nursing Supervisor, you’ll:
Support and mentor a talented nursing team providing round-the-clock patient care
Foster collaboration between clinicians, students, and staff in a teaching-hospital setting
Lead with compassion, organization, and calm under pressure
Play a key role in advancing patient care and veterinary education at one of the nation’s top teaching hospitals
Qualifications
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain
VTS (ECC) certification preferred, or a strong desire to pursue specialty certification
Minimum of 5 years of veterinary nursing experience, with at least 2 years in ICU or inpatient settings
Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of critical care procedures, monitoring, and equipment
Experience in an academic or specialty hospital setting preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
